Things here at the ranch/farm have been busy!

Annette and I went to the Spring Bloom Art Festival in Bloomington/Normal on Saturday -- it was a wonderful little show.  Very organized and the staff were very helpful.  Sales were a little slow, but according to others there that is pretty normal these days (darn it!).

Yesterday, because it was (finally) raining I made it to the torch -- my thermometer on the kiln is shot -- felt weird to keep looking at zero degrees when I know it was over 900 degrees . . . and I have a bunch of new beads.

Today, I went to visit Morgan Elser in Delavan . . . I took new pieces to her gallery.  She has been having lots of visitors after the article in Art and Society.  She was so generous to mention all the artists who have work in her gallery in the article and in the advertisement.  Next month's issue will have jewelry pictures in the ad -- check it out!

While I was galavanting around I stopped at Willett's Winery and Cellar to pay for my spot at the 4th Annual Wine, Art, Balloon and Jazz Festival on May 26.  Check that out at www.manitowinefest.com.

Loni of Yellow Lilly Photography has taken pictures of jewelry and beads for me -- I just need to get over there with a flash drive and a check.  Look for pictures finally in the store!

Thank goodness for the rain -- things in the garden are moving right along . . . finally the potatoes are up (some of them) and the newly planted seeds sprouted right away.  The new asparagus is up and I started mulching.  The transplanted black raspberry bushes are looking pretty good, considering.  AND Linda Prescott and friends came over with a bee hive over the weekend . . . I'm excited about having my own polinators!

It's about time for bed!
